i remember when i first heard the cantonese slang " 淆底 " (pusillanimous), i was 15, from my cousin's friend. i said i didnt understand this word and i had never heard of it. my cousin thought it was unbelievable that this word was unknown for a Hong Konger. i dunno. but i am sure this word is enormously strange for outsiders, rite? 淆底, its surface meaning is to scoop or stir something at the bottom of a pot, but its denotation is pusillanimity. funny.
e.g. im pusillanimous in front of my boyfriend.
例句:在男友面前我經常感到淆底,甚麼都怯。
:P such a quail be4 BF
e.g. is male relatively pusillanimous, so that he doesnt make decision between two females? he could but he didnt.
例句:男人都是優柔寡斷的嗎?真的不能放低其中一個女人嗎?
got it?
